Detail Strip Guide: Grand Power K100 Series

Update 09/04/2015: David Copping, the area manager for North America at Grand Power SRO reached out to give me a couple of small tips straight from the source.  They've been integrated into the post below, specifically regarding the safety lever removal and the magazine release, which I didn't actually mess with originally.  Thanks, David!

I recently got a K100 in for a friend of mine who was nice enough to let me rip it apart and review it.  There's barely any info online about these really interesting Slovakian pistols, and nary a parts diagram to be found aside from one miserably low resolution drawing from Marstar Canada.  Today's project is detail stripping the K100 Mk7.

LH9 Breakdown Part 2: Process and Thoughts

Before I get into a detailed and illustrated step by step tutorial, I figured I would post a quick order of operations and some thoughts on the Daewoo design.  That includes how the mysterious Triple Action system works, some comments on design and a few major "gotcha" spots that will save time and aggravation.

LH9 Breakdown Part 1: Diagram

As a gunsmith one of my favorite pastimes is to rip apart guns I haven't seen before to challenge my mechanical aptitude. And usually my patience, but that's another story entirely. If you bought an LH9, DP51 or any other variant of the excellent Daewoo lineage but haven't been able to find good information on the pistol's internals, you've come to the right place!
